Further, extensive literature survey was carried out to understand the concept of competitiveness and empirical study of the same. The outcome of literature survey was shared with industry experts and academicians and their inputs were used for developing an initial model of competitiveness of Indian autocomponent sector. Using data collected through structured survey, the theoretical model was statistically tested and suitably modified.
