It examines the drafting, nature, core values, and roles of the first modern constitutions during the founding of the eight modern nation-states in South Asia. The book looks at the following constitutions: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
